COVID-19 and Pliny the Younger Updates

Updated January 12, 2022:

Today Sonoma County Health Department issued a health order banning large group gatherings (50+ indoors, 100+ outdoors) and has asked all Sonoma County residents to stay at home for the next 30 days.  This latest health order is in response to an exponential increase in COVID cases and hospitalizations here in Sonoma County.  In addition, we are experiencing our internal surge with more than 20 employees throughout both breweries testing positive since just before Christmas. We were already short-staffed and now the situation is becoming dire. Last week we were forced to close both pubs for several days because we simply did not have enough to open the doors.

Due to our own internal staffing struggles and the recent health order, Vinnie and I have made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming Pliny the Younger release to March 25-April 7, 2022. Our postponing of the release was the only responsible decision to make in light the recent health order and our own internal staffing issues. This will give us extra time to regroup and be ready to hold an even better release in the Spring!  Distribution of Pliny the Younger kegs to our accounts will continue as planned beginning the week of February 7th.  So keep your eyes out!

Face masks are still required inside all businesses in Sonoma County. We are diligently cleaning and sanitizing all public facing and employee work areas on a regular basis.  RRBC employees are required to wear medical or N0-95 masks at all times. All of our employees are currently vaccinated and in the process of getting their boosters. Both pubs are currently open offering food and beer to go and indoor dining.  Check our website or call for the most current hours as they are subject to change.

In addition to offering beer for pickup at both breweries, we are selling cases of beer online via our website store for shipping to California residents! We ship overnight via GLS (Golden State Overnight) so the beer arrives as fresh as possible. Direct shipping to out of state customers is illegal in most states, quite costly and complicated in the 10 or so legal states. Read this informative article HERE to learn more about the frustrations and complications surrounding shipping beer out of state. So, for now, we are sticking to just California. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter as we usually post new products around mid-day on Fridays but try to keep a steady supply available all week.  You can also keep an eye on our website!

Thank you!
Natalie, Vinnie and the entire RRBC Crew
