SUMMARY

This role primarily responsible for assisting the brewery owners and other managers with all things digital marketing, creative content development, internal and external communications, media, coordinating and working onsite and offsite events and more! 

We are seeking a candidate who embodies enthusiasm, creativity, meticulous attention to detail, active community involvement, and a profound love for Craft Beer!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor social media accounts by answering all DM’s daily, liking and responding to comments/questions on Facebook, Instagram, X, Untappd, and other media platforms while ensuring content is legal and appropriate
  • Regularly analyze social media account data and provide valuable insights to management monthly
  • Collaborate with the Owner in creating a social media schedule and content
  • Create print and digital advertising as directed
  • Assist in creating POS for the sales team and events, updating and maintaining the “Beer Bible”, creating and editing logos, and other creative assets as needed
  • Monitor, share with management, and respond, as appropriate, to all Google, Yelp and other online reviews
  • Ensure that our company information including hours of operation is accurate on all online platforms (Google, Yelp, etc.)
  • Monitor social media and the web for unauthorized use of RRBC products, images, and intellectual property
  • Monitor, analyze, and share information compiled from websites like Untappd, Beer Advocate, Reddit, etc.
  • Ensure that the company website is always accurate with hours of operation, current beer descriptions and availability, tour schedule, private event inquiries, etc.
  • Update the list of on/off-premise accounts that sell our beer throughout California and out-of-state
  • Respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner, schedule interviews/photo shoots as needed for the brewery owners
  • Assist with media outreach including sending beer samples for reviews/articles
  • Respond in a timely and professional manner to general customer service, media, donations, and private inquiries via email, DMs, and phone messages; forward to the appropriate manager/department
  • Respond to, coordinate, and manage donation requests
  • Coordinate and represent at the Company at off-site events such as beer festivals or other non-profit events including setting up and breaking down all brewery-owned equipment
  • Respond to on-site event/private party inquiries
  • Effectively plan, manage, and handle the various aspects, budget, and logistics associated with hosting successful on-site events and private parties
  • Keep the events calendar up-to-date and share it with both team members and management
  • All other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no regular direct reports but supervises employees scheduled to work at special events

  • A comprehensive understanding of Alcohol Beverage regulations, as they relate to alcohol marketing, advertising, and service, is essential.
  • Ability to keep track of expenses and work within a budget

  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills

  • Must be creative and capable of creating/editing content for social media, advertising, fliers, etc.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • At least two years of experience in a marketing/communications role
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language (s) used in the workplace
  • Valid California Driver’s License, clean DMV record, and a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Proficient in Adobe, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Lightroom and/or Canva
  • Evening and weekend work required when both offsite and onsite events are scheduled
  • The employee must occasionally lift or carry up to 60 pounds and manipulate and/or move up to 155 pounds

In the professional setting of an office environment, administrative employees encounter specific physical demands and working conditions, including:

  • Extended periods of sitting and standing: Administrative tasks often involve prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on computers, and engaging in paperwork, necessitating ergonomic awareness and occasional breaks for movement. During the course of business this role requires employees to spend significant time on their feet, requiring endurance and comfortable footwear.
  • Repetitive tasks: Data entry, filing, and other administrative duties may involve repetitive motions, such as typing or filing, which can lead to strain or discomfort without proper ergonomic practices.
  • Heavy lifting and manual labor: Employees will engage in tasks that involve lifting and moving heavy objects, such as equipment, raw materials, or finished products, requiring physical strength and proper lifting techniques. 
  • Screen time: Administrative work typically involves extensive use of computers and other digital devices, leading to prolonged exposure to screens and potential eye strain.
  • Indoor environment: Office employees primarily work indoors, often in climate-controlled environments, which may require adjustment to artificial lighting, noise, and air quality.
  • Outdoor work: Outdoor activities are required, exposing employees to various weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, or snow. Employees must be prepared to work in all weather conditions and dress appropriately for comfort and safety.
  • Noise exposure: Employees are exposed to noise from industrial brewing equipment, kitchen equipment, conversations, and background music, necessitating the ability to concentrate and communicate effectively amidst the din.
  • Time management: The position requires effective time management skills to balance client meetings, travel time, administrative tasks, and sales targets. Employees must prioritize activities to maximize productivity and meet sales objectives.
  • Regular communication and coordination: This role frequently interacts with colleagues, clients, and vendors via phone, email, or in-person meetings, requiring effective communication skills and professionalism. They must also resolve conflicts and ensure smooth operations, necessitating strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Customer interaction: Will engage in direct interaction with clients and prospects, conducting sales presentations, negotiating deals, and addressing customer inquiries and concerns. This requires strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Participates in promotional events, trade shows, or product launches to increase brand awareness and generate sales leads. This may involve setting up booths, distributing marketing materials, and engaging with event attendees.
  • Flexible scheduling: Depending on the organization’s needs, administrative employees may work standard office hours or schedules that include evenings or weekends to accommodate business demands. Travel to different locations, job sites, or events will be required based on business needs

Pay Range: $65,000-70,000 annually, DOE!
