Gift Shop Sales/ Santa Rosa

Russian River Brewing Company is hiring for full time Gift Shop Sales at our Santa Rosa location! If you are passionate about customer service and love craft beer, we’d love to chat with you!

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to our guests purchasing growlers, bottled beer, merchandise, and gift cards to go at our gift shop, while being a passionate steward for craft beer and RRBC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets and assists customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answers questions regarding styles and sizes of merchandise; makes suggestions for purchases
  • Provides information and suggestions on types of beers available in growlers and bottles to go
  • Abides by company policies on allocations for certain beer styles
  • Effectively and accurately communicates information to consumers regarding our beer and the company in general
  • Responsibly collects and handles cash and credit card transactions
  • Balances drawer at the end of each shift
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work space
  • Keeps merchandise organized, folded and stocked at all times
  • Stocks shelves at beginning and end of shift or whenever necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Principles and processes for providing customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Basic arithmetic
  • Ability to operate the POS system (Toast)
  • Principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with the public
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions, and not interrupting
  • Actively looking for ways to help people
  • Work as a team member
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
  • Speak clearly so others can understand you
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  • Accuracy when fulfilling customer orders and re-ordering merchandise
  • See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Passion, enthusiasm, focus, creativity, and a positive outlook
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification (RRBC can provide)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Much of the work consists of conveying information verbally to customers at our brewpub. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to sit or stand for long periods of time; walk; use finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands; talk and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 50 pounds. Use of arms above the shoulder is sometimes required. The employee occasionally may need to transport himself or herself to another location. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires manual dexterity and ability to quickly move hand(s), hand with arm, grasp, manipulate or assemble.
