Consecration is brewed with dark malts giving it a deep mahogany color and rich malty flavor. Aged in used Cabernet Sauvignon barrels with black currants, Brettanomyces and good bacteria, the beer is full-bodied and filled with overtones of fruit, spice, tobacco, chocolate, and sourness with a hint of subtle oak. This beer is refermented in the bottle creating a natural carbonation and a small layer of yeast sediment.
